Hiking and birding is on your to-do list in the area. AfriCamps at Magoebaskloof has ten boutique tents. Each tent has two bedrooms which comfortably sleep five guests. Both bedrooms are furnished with extra length Queen-size beds and have their own private entrance which allows maximum privacy. One of the bedrooms also contains a single bunk bed. The bathroom is fitted with a hot shower, flushing toilet and washbasin. The tent consists of a spacious open plan lounge area with a couch, a dining area with solid wooden table and seating for five guests, a fully-equipped kitchen. Our tents are equipped with air conditioning and an indoor fireplace. Enjoy a braai on our spacious wooden decks and take in the views from the comfortable deck loungers. Pull up the front covers and transform the tent into a large outdoor living area. Enjoy the outdoor wood-fired hot tub or splash pool. Unwind and appreciate a festive family breakfast while taking in the serene natural beauty of Magoebaskloof. Optional 'cook-your-own' breakfast baskets and braai baskets are available to pre-order. These are placed in the tent for you to prepare. If you have not ordered yours and you don't want to miss out, contact us before you arrive and we'll make sure you enjoy some delicious meals during your stay. The property is best known for its exquisite gardens. Cherry blossoms, Crab Apple trees, Azaleas, African ferns, and Pin Oaks invite you in, and the vibrant colours of Hydrangeas, Camellias, Irises and Foxgloves that flourish during spring are sure to steal you over. The abundant birdlife comes as no surprise, and guests can spot Green Twinspot, Barratt’s Warbler, White-starred Robin, Lemon Dove, the elusive Narina Trogon, and Half-collared Kingfisher during their stay. Samango monkeys jumping from tree to tree and the cheerful whistling of farm labourers add to the calm garden atmosphere. Guests can expect a good dose of rest for the soul!
